Obama's Statement

My mom always said words are words, but actions count. I am still in a wait and see mode. I know many, including my Rabbi, appear to have made up their minds...wait and see for me is eyes and ears wide open and bearing witness.....It is my prayer, my deepest hope that the words will be followed by actions that match.

The White House released the following statement from President Obama on the 62nd anniversary of the founding of the state of Israel:

“On the 62nd Anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel, I join the American people in congratulating the government and people of Israel on this celebration of their independence.”

“Minutes after David Ben-Gurion declared Israel’s independence, realizing the dream of a state for the Jewish people in their historic homeland, the United States became the first country to recognize Israel. To this day, we continue to share a strong, unbreakable bond of friendship between our two nations, anchored by the United States’ enduring commitment to Israel’s security.”

“Israel remains our important partner and key strategic ally in the Middle East, and I am confident that our special relationship will only be strengthened in the months and years to come. I look forward to continuing our efforts with Israel to achieve comprehensive peace and security in the region, including a two-state solution, and to working together to counter the forces that threaten Israel, the United States, and the world. On this day, we once again honor the extraordinary achievements of the people of Israel, and their deep and abiding friendship with the American people. I offer my best wishes to President Peres, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and the people of Israel as they celebrate this happy occasion.”

Which one gets Pres. Barack Hussein Ă˜bama excited enough "to meddle"?

Iranian students getting dragged out of hospitals & hanged for marching for freedom against the mullahs who promise to nuke America and Israel?

N.Korea launching missiles and a CYBER ATTACK ON THE U.S. on July 4th?

Or some Jew in Israel who needs to to build an extra bedroom for his kids?

On the Arab "street":

"Who needs Osama?

WE'VE GOT OBAMA!"

Surely something must be terribly wrong with someone who seems far more concerned with a Jew building a house in Israel than with Muslims building a nuclear bomb in Iran." - Columnist Burt Prelutsky, L.A. Times

The Iran/Israel analogy is completely wrong. This Administration, like the last Administration, supports economic sanctions on Iran while supporting foreign aid to Israel.

Let me add that I don't necessarily approve of the Administration's overemphasis on a few houses here and there.

But to suggest that they are not "meddling" with Iran [or even that they are meddling to a lesser extent than with Israel] is simply wrong.
